CareLink was proud to celebrate Michele Cornwell and Dr. Jeffery Dodge recently at the 2024 Health Care Heroes Award ceremony by Providence Business News. Their work and dedication in the healthcare sector have positively impacted countless lives in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

Our first hero honored was Michele Cornwell in the category ofAdvancement in Health Care.Michele is a seasoned therapy clinician who has leveraged her incredible ability to engage older adults and adults with disabilities to enrich and improve their lives. She has led her organization, CareLink, into creating a comprehensive wellness program forolder adults and adultswith complex health challenges. Michele has represented Rhode Island on the national level, leveraging the latest training and certifications to ensure that Carelink’s wellness team is bringing the highest quality prevention services to Rhode Island’s most vulnerable populations.

Dr. Jeffery Dodge is our second hero, recognized for his exceptional contributions to the dental field. Dr. Dodge received his BA in Biology from St. Michael’s College and his DMD fromTufts Dental School. In addition to his role as a dentist at CareLink, Dr. Dodge maintains a private practice in General Dentistry in Woonsocket. He has a strong background in serving the most vulnerable patients in our community.  Dr. Dodge believes in collaboration and maintains connections with the RI Department of Health where he serves on numerous workgroups, including The Long-Term Care Group, which brings together stakeholders from across the country to discuss and share best practices. Dodge is the Founder and President of the Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation, which sponsors the Rhode Island Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic, held annually.
