Mental Health Month #Awareness. CareLink is working with even more community partners to improve mental health for older adults and adults with disabilities.

Kevin McKay, VP of RI Market Partnership Strategy, CCA Health RI is a non-profit integrated health plan in RI that works with members on Medicare or Medicaid as well as having providers in the area to give the members the best care possible. CCA Health RI includes Mental Health as part of the new member assessment so they are able to create a care plan for each member which will include the physical as well as the emotional needs of each person.

Christine Gadbois, CEO of Carelink RI one of CCA Health RI’s care partners gives an overview of how the pandemic cast a spotlight on the need for mental health care among older adults in our community and the challenges that are faced in getting the access to care as well stigmas that are still so prevalent amongst the age group.
