Reiki is defined as a form of “energy healing.” By practicing Reiki, an individual learns how to positively release energy that’s being stored within the body. When such energy is being stored, it’s considered “blocked energy” or a “blocked chakra” which can cause emotional imbalance, overall disconnect when it comes to the mind, body and spirit, and can also increase physical pain and illness.
The focus of Reiki is to inspire a sense of inner calm and connection within oneself, to maintain an inner balance and harmony, and to improve and manage symptoms related to pain and illness. This practice was first developed in Japan in the early 1900s and has been a widely popular practice that complements other forms of dynamic healthcare.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session
Each client’s needs are different, but the focus remains the same: to heal, calm, and promote energy support and overall well-being. When a Reiki session takes place, our provider will focus on delivering positive energy to one’s body or specific areas of the body. This positive transfer of healing often delivers a heating, cooling or pulsing effect. Often, relaxing music is played to inspire the mood, and the use of essential oils in calming scents are often used.
