CareLink Mobile Dentistry

Our vision is to ensure access to proper oral health care for older adults and adults with complex health needs.

Decreased physical mobility and a lack of transportation are growing issues preventing seniors from getting the dental care they need. To address this in the Rhode Island community, CareLink designed a mobile dentistry practice to provide convenient and efficient on-site oral care.

CareLink Mobile Dentistry’s team of licensed dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants provide diagnostic, preventative, and palliative services that include:

  • Comprehensive oral assessment
  • Tooth cleaning and polishing
  • Fluoride treatment
  • X-ray and diagnostic imaging services
  • Denture fabrication, fittings and repairs
  • Fillings

Why is proper oral health care critical?

The mouth is the window to one’s overall health.

  • Untreated mouth pain – often the first sign of infection – can lead to other more serious medical conditions
  • Without care, systemic diseases like diabetes and heart disease may worsen
  • Eating and drinking play an important part in our social connection
  • Poor dentition or ill-fitting dentures can increase the chance of choking and weight loss
  • Common medications like antihypertensives and antipsychotics may diminish salivary flow, increasing the risk of tooth decay and eventual tooth loss

Who Is Eligible?

CareLink Mobile Dentistry is available to residents of participating facilities. CareLink Mobile Dentistry accepts Medicaid, private pay and works closely with most private insurers.
